HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1:
Oswego was early to the scoring show in this game as they got on the board by way of Matt Carner hitting a hard ground ball to the second baseman of Keystone which resulted in an error. Trey McGowan would score on this mistake from Dante Ruby.

The game would go stagnant as neither team scored for the next 6 innings. Oswego's Jacob Sanders would record 7 strikeouts during this time. Likewise, Keystone's Quinn Holt would strike out 4 batters of his own.

The scoring drought would end with a rainstorm off Tishawn Featherstone's bat. He would send a deep fly ball out to left center field and it would clear the fence. Oswego led 2-0 going into the bottom of the 7th inning.

The scoring would start for the Giants with a sacrifice fly from Carlos Pascual. The lead was quickly cut to 1.

In the bottom of the 9th with two outs left Oswego was looking to close the game. Cooper Fesh would single. This would advance Dee Rice to third. The Giants had runners on first and third, Fesh would steal second base and was thrown out. While this happened, Rice would hustle down the third base line. Although Fesh would get caught trying to steal a bag, Rice would score before Fesh got tagged. The score was now 2-2.

In the top of 10th Oswego wouldn't be able to score as Daniel Winchester would get picked off for out 1 and then the Lakers struck out twice. As for Keystone in the bottom of the 10th, Carlos Pascual would pick up his 2nd RBI of the game as he sent a missile up the middle to score Darren Hagan. The Giants would win game 1 of 2, 3-2.

Luke Belanger's POTG - Tishawn Featherstone (1 H, 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB)

Game 2
A single in the bottom of the first by Griffin Yastremski would open the scoring for Keystone. A throwing error by Oswego would give the Giants their second run of the game as Yastremski would touch all 4.

Trey McGowan would score on a Ben Rollison ground out for Oswego to narrow the lead to just one for the Giants. This lead would go right back up to 2 as Nate Ewing would send a bomb over the left field wall for his second long ball of the year.

The Lakers had an absolute masterclass of a 5th inning. Emil Sander would match Ewing's homer with a dinger of his own. Trey McGowan would walk, Daniel Winchester would double and after a wild pitch, McGowan would score. Ben Silverman would follow that double up with another double, this would score Winchester. Oswego was now leading, 4-3.

Oswego would keep their foot on the gas as Keystone walked in a run in the top of the sixth. The Giants kept shooting themselves in the foot as a wild pitch would score Silverman. Oswego was up by 3 going into the bottom half of the frame.

McGowan would pick up his second hit and first RBI of the game as he singled into left field that would ultimately score Thomas Harrington. Oswego would be up 7-3. Alek Conrad would come in and shut the door for the Lakers. This game would end due to darkness going into the 9th and Oswego would prevail to win over the Giants, 7-3.

Luke Belanger's POTG - Emil Sander (2 H, 1 HR, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB)
