HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1:
Oswego started strong, scoring three runs in the first two innings. After an RBI single by Dylan Rosenberg in the first and some aggressive base running—including a double steal— McGowan drove in a run in the second before Winchester added another with a sac bunt.

Clarkson responded with a four-run third inning, capitalizing on a costly error and stringing together timely hits off Oswego starter Jai Sharma, who was tagged for four runs (two earned) over 2.2 innings. Oswego clawed back, tying it in the sixth on a clutch RBI double by red-hot Tishawn Featherstone, who went 5-for-5 on the day.

In the seventh, the Lakers surged ahead again thanks to McGowan, who delivered an RBI single—his second run driven in during a productive 2-for-3, two-walk day. But Clarkson tied it in the top of the eighth when Griggs singled home Kanick, who had reached on an error and advanced on a passed ball.

Oswego threatened in the ninth, getting Joe McLaughlin (2-for-3, 3 stolen bases) on base with two outs, but couldn't bring him around, as Emil Sander was caught looking to end the game.

Pitching-wise, Oswego reliever Grant Biderman was saddled with the loss after allowing the go-ahead unearned run in the eighth. Offensively, the Lakers outhit Clarkson 12–9 but couldn't capitalize on several scoring chances, stranding 13 runners and hitting into a double play in the eighth.
Game 2
Starter Matt Carner opened with two clean innings, but things unraveled in the third. After two quick outs, Clarkson loaded the bases and took full advantage of a hit-by-pitch, a costly infield error, and five hits—including a pair of 2-RBI singles—to plate seven runs. Reliever Will Coleman was unable to stop the bleeding and was tagged with the loss.

Despite the early hole, the Lakers showed resilience. Jake Lukasiewicz drove in the first run in the fourth inning with a single to right, followed by a double from Mair to cut the deficit to 7–2. Oswego continued to chip away with RBI singles from McGowan in both the sixth and eighth innings. McGowan continued his torrid hitting, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a walk, raising his on-base presence and proving to be a sparkplug at the top of the lineup.

Lukasiewicz also added a 2-for-4 day with an RBI, while Mair went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI of his own.

After the rocky third, the Oswego bullpen steadied the ship. Jordan Goble and Aiden Kerr combined to toss 6.1 innings, allowing just one earned run on four hits. Kerr, in particular, impressed with four strong shutout innings, striking out two and allowing no walks.
