OSWEGO, NY. – The Oswego State men's golf team closed out the Oswego State Invite on Sunday afternoon at Oswego Country Club with two solid rounds, as the A team placed third overall and the B team secured sixth place in the field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the A squad,
Jack Shaw bounced back from his opening 77 with a sharp 74 (+3), climbing into the top 10.
Tyce Helmick posted one of the team's biggest jumps, improving by seven strokes from an 81 on Day 1 to a 74 (+3) on Day 2.
Justin Alvord also shaved six shots off his first round (81 ? 75), while
Sam Ligas trimmed his score slightly, moving from 78 to 79.
John O'Neill, who led the Lakers on Day 1 with a 75, closed with an 84 to round out the scoring.
On the B team side,
Evan McDonald put together the largest single-round improvement of the tournament for Oswego, dropping nine strokes from an opening 84 to card a 75 (+4) in Round 2.
Jacob Petelin was steady, backing up his first-round 77 with a 76 (+5) for one of the team's most consistent showings.
Tyler Simonetti slipped slightly with an 80 after a 76 on Day 1, while
Carter Wichelns stayed close to his first round (84 ? 82).
Liam Hobbs finished with back-to-back 84s.
