Oswego, NY - The SUNYAC has announced their weekly awards. The Lakers very own Juan Roque was named the SUNYAC Men's Wrestler rookie of the week.

This weekend, the Lakers were in action at the Budd Whitehill Duals hosted by Lycoming College. Freshman Juan Roque picked up two individual victories, including a 9–5 decision over Thomas Longo (Wilkes) and an impressive first-period fall (2:16) against Pedro Estrada of UW–Stevens Point, showing his ability to score quickly and finish matches. So far this season, the freshman has an overall record of 14-9.

Men's wrestling will host its home opener this Saturday at 1:00 PM when they take on Ithaca College.
