Oneonta, NY. - The SUNY Oswego Women's Basketball team traveled to Oneonta to take on the Red Dragons in a SUNYAC Conference matchup, ultimately falling by a score of 49-60.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers started out slow, with the Red Dragons starting the game on an 8-0 run. Giavanna White-Principio would score the first points for the Lakers shortly after. Oneonta's lead continued to grow throughout the first quarter, and the Lakers went into the break behind by a score of 20-9.
The Red Dragons would continue their scoring run at the start of the second quarter, scoring 11 unanswered before Juliette Huguet made it 26-11. Oneonta's dominance would continue into the half, as they entered the break on top 37-21.
The Lakers came out of the halftime break and ran with the Red Dragons, but were unable to break the deficit from the first half, as Oneonta applied relentless pressure defensively. The Lakers went into the fourth down 49-33.
Jazzmyn Lewis tried to lead the way for a fourth-quarter comeback, scoring 5 points in the fourth quarter, but again it was too big a deficit for the Lakers to come back from, as the Red Dragons took this one by a score of 60-49.

The Lakers will be back in action this Friday, January 16th, where they are set to host the SUNY Canton Kangaroos in another SUNYAC Matchup. Tip-off is at 5:30PM.
