Oswego, NY. - Oswego State men's basketball turned a tight first half into a runaway victory on Friday night, overpowering SUNY Canton 85–67 in SUNYAC action at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers weathered an early challenge from the Roos, as the opening 20 minutes featured nine lead changes and six ties. Neither side could create separation, but Oswego closed the half with composure and efficiency, carrying a narrow 35–34 advantage into the locker room.
The tone shifted dramatically after halftime. Oswego came out aggressive on both ends, pushing the pace and attacking the paint en route to a 50-point second half. The Lakers shot over 54 percent from the floor in the final half and steadily built a double-digit lead, using rebounding, defensive pressure, and transition baskets to put the game out of reach.
Deacon Judd delivered a commanding performance, finishing with a game-high 33 points and 10 rebounds to pace Oswego. Judd repeatedly asserted himself in the paint and at the free-throw line, setting the tone during the decisive second-half surge.
Steven Bradley added 11 points, while
Jayson McGhee provided a spark off the bench with 10 points.
Oswego controlled the glass with a 44–34 rebounding advantage and received strong production from its bench, outscoring Canton 20–17. The Lakers' ability to wear down the Roos over the final 20 minutes proved to be the difference.
