HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego wasted no time asserting control. Just 49 seconds into the opening period, Aidan Cooper opened the scoring off a feed from Brett Fudger, setting the tone for a dominant first frame. The Lakers continued to press, adding goals from Fudger and Colin Vassallo to take a commanding 3–0 lead into the first intermission.

The offensive surge carried into the second period as Oswego stretched the advantage to six. Vassallo struck again early in the frame before Travis Baker converted on the power play, and Matt McQuade capped the period with an even-strength finish. The Lakers' puck movement and sustained offensive-zone pressure kept Morrisville on its heels, while Oswego controlled the faceoff circle and limited counterattacks.

Vassallo completed his hat trick midway through the third period on the power play, punctuating a three-goal final stanza that also featured tallies from Cam Symons and Justin Ryan. The nine-goal outburst marked one of Oswego's most complete offensive performances of the season, with seven different Lakers finding the back of the net and 14 assists recorded on the night.

At the other end, goaltender Michael Manzi was sharp and steady, stopping all 20 shots he faced to earn the shutout. Oswego's defensive structure limited Morrisville's opportunities, particularly on special teams, where the Lakers killed off the Mustangs' lone power play and went 3-for-5 with the man advantage themselves.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers will return home next weekend and take on the Fredonia Blue Devils on Friday February 20th at 7:00 PM.
