How it Happened
Game 1
The Oswego Lakers dropped a heartbreaker to Immaculata on Saturday morning, falling 12-10 in a ten-inning battle that lasted nearly four hours. Despite a resilient offensive showing and a late-inning home run, the Lakers could not hold off a persistent Immaculata squad that rallied late to tie the game before pulling ahead in the final frame.

Oswego's offense showed signs of life early, starting in the first inning when E. Sander tripled to left-center and scored on a groundout by D. Winchester. After falling behind in the second, the Lakers exploded for five runs in the third inning to take a 7-4 lead. That rally featured an RBI single from M. Carner, a two-run double by A. Dempsey, and an RBI single from H. Uvena. Carner later provided a massive spark in the seventh inning, launching a solo home run to center field to briefly push the Oswego lead to 10-8.

Shearer went four innings in the start, while the bullpen saw appearances from M. Drillings, A. Kerr, and J. Goble. After Immaculata tied the game in the eighth, Oswego had a chance to win it in the bottom half by loading the bases, but they were unable to capitalize. In the tenth, Immaculata used a leadoff walk and a wild pitch to set up a tie-breaking RBI double by N. Turnage, followed by a run-scoring single from J. Goulburn.

Offensively, the Lakers were led by E. Sander, who finished 3-for-4 with a triple and two stolen bases. M. Carner drove in two runs with his home run, and A. Dempsey contributed a double and two RBIs. While J. Ynoa managed a single in the bottom of the tenth to keep hope alive, a final strikeout ended the comeback attempt and sealed the result for the visitors.

Game 2
The game tilted in Piedmont's favor during a difficult bottom of the first inning . After a series of walks loaded the bases, Piedmont's C. Few launched a four-run home run to right-center. Defensive miscues further complicated the frame, as an error at third base allowed the inning to continue, eventually leading to a 5-0 lead for Piedmont before the Lakers could record the third out.

Oswego's bats were held in check throughout the contest by Piedmont's D. O'Neill, who surrendered just five hits over eight innings . The Lakers managed to put runners on in several frames—including singles from D. Winchester, D. Rosenberg, and H. Meyer—but were repeatedly turned away by three double plays turned by the Piedmont defense. A potential scoring threat in the sixth inning, fueled by a Meyer single and a walk to M. Carner, ended on a groundout to second base.

What's Next
The Lakers will return to action tomorrow to take on Shenandoah at 1:00PM still in search of their first win of the season.
