Rochester, N.Y. – The SUNY Oswego men's golf team turned in a solid showing Sunday at Cobblestone Creek Country Club, highlighted by a strong round from Justin Alvord to pace the Lakers.

How it Happened:
 
Alvord led the way with a 6-over-par 78, putting together a consistent round that featured a 40 on the front nine and an even stronger 38 on the back. His steady play set the tone for Oswego throughout the day. Tyler Simonetti carded a 38 on the front followed by a 43 on the back.
Tyce Helmick followed with an 81 (+9), carding a balanced round that included a 42 on the front and a 39 on the back nine. Kevin Waters added an 82 (+10), continuing the Lakers' consistency with matching 42 and 40 splits.
Rounding out the scoring group, Jack Shaw posted an 83, while Sam Ligas finished with an 86. Though not counted in the team score, both provided valuable depth and experience on the course.

Tomorrow the Lakers will be back on action for round 2 of the St John Fisher Spring Invite.
