Oswego State Athletics

Mary Mazzella of the women’s basketball team was named the Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19.

During Friday’s game against No. 18 ranked Geneseo, Mazzella scored seven points while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out three assists. She did not miss from the free throw line – going 2-for-2 – and hit her only 3-point attempt.

In the season finale, 73-64 overtime, win against Brockport, Mazzella put up 23 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double on the season. She also went 2-for-3 from the 3-point line while hitting all five of her free throws.
