Oswego State batters visiting Cazenovia 12-2

The Oswego State baseball team made quick work of visiting Cazenovia College as the Lakers plated five runs in the bottom of the first inning and received a complete game from pitcher Chris Daley (Rochester) as the Lakers rolled to a 12-2 win.

The win on Tuesday, April 26, put the Lakers at 13-11 on the season heading into Thursday's game with Ithaca College. The loss knocked Cazenovia to 12-12.

Daley allowed just a pair of runs on five hits as the junior struck out six. He also kept his individual record perfect on the season, moving to 4-0.

Oswego State then added single runs in the second and fifth innings before tacking on two more in the seventh and three more in the last of the eighth.

Matt Kimpland (Fulton) finished the game going 3-for-5 for the Lakers with three runs batted in. Adding to the 13-hit attack were Marzullo, Coromato and Jim Miner (Liverpool) as each player collected two hits.
