The Oswego State baseball team pounded out 21 hits in a 13-8 win over Clarkson on Wednesday afternoon at the Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown.
The Lakers started the bottom of the first inning with back-to-back doubles by Anthony Coromato and Tom Farrell and never looked back. Oswego State scored three times in the first and twice in the second to build a 5-0 lead.
Nick Perioli was 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run, two RBIs, and four runs scored. Jake Alsheimer was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Coromato and Tom Grace had three hits each and Dan Pecora had a pair of singles.
Starting pitcher Rob Johnson allowed all eight Clarkson runs over six innings of work but earned the victory. Justin White and Chris Daley combined to pitch three scoreless innings of relief.
