The Oswego State baseball team lost 16-11 to Ithaca on Tuesday at Laker Field.
Oswego State made a late comeback attempt that included a five-run eighth inning. Six Laker players had two hits each -- Tom Farrell, Nick Marzullo, Anthony Coromato, Dan Pecora, Zack Owen, and Matt Corrigan.
The Bombers entered the contest with an eight-game winning streak and are ranked 15th in the nation. They built an 11-3 lead for starting pitcher Pete MacDaniel and went on to the victory. Designated hitter Drew Ash homered twice and had four hits for the Bombers and Eric Ferguson was 3-for-4 with a home run.
Oswego State is now 13-20 on the year and hosts RIT for a single game Saturday at 2 p.m. Ithaca is 29-7.
