The Oswego State women's lacrosse team lost 18-6 at St. Lawrence on Tuesday evening in Canton.
The game was tied at 1-1 early on as Susannah Taylor got the Lakers on the board to counter the game's opening goal by St. Lawrence's Patty Ball. The Saints then scored six of the next seven goals in the game to build a 7-2 lead midway through the first half and they never looked back. St. Lawrence led 10-4 at halftime.
Rachel Ventresca scored three of Oswego State's six goals in the game, while Taylor added an assist. Nicole McHale and Ashley Andersen also scored for the Lakers. Tricia McNeilly had an assist, and goalie Shannon O'Brien made 16 saves.
Oswego State will now turn its attention to its first home game of the season, scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. on Laker Field against Morrisville State College.
