Lakers off to 2-0 start on the season

The Oswego State men's tennis team is off to a winning start, after sweeping all nine matches against two opponents this week. The Lakers defeated Utica on Wednesday and won their home opener against Elmira on Saturday afternoon.

In the match against Utica, first singles player Ryan Thomas won an exciting three-set match in a tiebreaker. Thomas won the first set 6-3, then lost the second set 6-2, before winning the third set in a tiebreaker 7-3. The other five singles players didn't drop a set, as each won convincingly. All three doubles teams also won by comfortable margins in the win over Utica.

In Saturday's matches against Elmira, the Lakers again won by convincing margins. Complete results are listed below.
