Oswego State 5, Oneonta 0
Michelle Jackson allowed just five hits in a shutout performance in the first game of the twin bill. Jackson struck out three Dragons, and escaped a jam in third when back-to-back singles and a wild pitch put runners on second and third with nobody out. But Jackson induced a pop out, a line drive, and a ground ball out in the infield to keep the game scoreless.
The Lakers then broke through with two runs in the bottom half of the third inning. The first three batters were hit by pitches, and the first run scored on an error, and with two outs Britanee Eckhard had an RBI single.
Oswego State added three runs in the fourth on a two-run double by Kelly Cooper to score Colleen Carmon and Carolyn Agle. Cooper scored on a fielder's choice.
Oneonta pitcher Jennifer McGrath took the loss.
Oneonta 8, Oswego State 3
The Red Dragons sent 10 batters to the plate in the third inning, scoring five times, and went on to win the second game of the doubleheader. Shannon Scudder had a three-run home run in the big inning and Oneonta took advantage of two Laker errors to score a pair of runs.
Oswego State opened the scoring in the top of the first on an RBI double by Kelly Cooper, and the Lakers added a pair of runs in the seventh.
Rebecca Burkart earned the win for the Dragons. Laura Agle was the losing pitcher for Oswego State and was relieved by Kaitlin Thibodeau.
