Lakers outscored at Oneonta

The Oswego State women's lacrosse team lost 15-7 at Oneonta on Saturday afternoon.

Tricia McNeilly, Rachel Ventresca, and Ashley Anderson scored two goals each for the Lakers and Andrea Poor also scored.

The Lakers built a 4-2 lead in the first half, but Oneonta scored the next five goals to take a 7-4 lead and they held the lead for the rest of the way. The Red Dragons held Oswego State scoreless for most of the second half, with the Lakers' only goal coming from Andersen with 29 seconds left in the contest.

Oneonta goalie Eileen O'Toole had 16 saves and Laker goalie Shannon O'Brien made 15 saves in the game.

Oswego State is now 4-7 and 1-4 in the SUNYAC, while the Red Dragons are 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The Lakers begin a two-game homestand with a home game against Fredonia on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and then host Buffalo State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
