Only five Lakers managed to score points, with the remaining three scoring no more than five points.

Oswego trailed by only a point, 29-28, after the first half, but Farmington (3-3) opened the second half with a 16-4 run to jump out to its largest lead of the game, 45-32, with 14:18 to play.  The Lakers would pull to within four points (58-54) on a layup by Ryan with 3:55 remaining, but the Rams ran off six straight points to increase the lead to ten points with 1:10 to play to secure the victory.

Only three Lakers were able to score in the second half, with Ryan and Merino scoring 11 points each, and Wanda Sanchez (Bronx/Louis D. Brandeis) adding three points.

Freshman Shemique Hooks led Farmingdale with a game-high 30 points, hitting six of 12 shots from three-point range, and completed the "double-double" with 12 rebounds.

The Lakers return to competition after the holiday break on Tuesday, Jan. 6, when they face St. Lawrence University in a non-conference matchup at Max Ziel Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
