The Oswego State baseball team lost two games at Oneonta in SUNY Athletic Conference action on Sunday. Oneonta won the first 9-inning game 3-2, and the second 7-inning game by the score of 8-3.
Oswego State is now 11-9 overall and 6-6 in the SUNYAC and hosts three games against the City College of New York this week. There is a doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday and a single 9-inning game on Thursday.
Oneonta 3, Oswego State 2
Wes O'Connor led Oswego State with two hits and an RBI, and Mike Levy was 1-for-4 and drove in the other Oswego State run. Brett Shaffer and Dan Pecora scored the Laker runs. Chris Schiro started and took the loss, and Dan Randall was 4-for-4 for the Red Dragons.
Oneonta 8, Oswego State 3
Oneonta took control with four runs in the bottom of the second inning and went on to the victory. Brett Shaffer and Tom Benedetto were both 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a double. Dan Pecora was the losing pitcher for Oswego State.
