The Oswego State women's lacrosse team lost 18-2 at Buffalo State on Saturday. The Bengals scored the first 11 goals of the game and rolled to the victory.

The Lakers are now 5-10 on the season and 2-5 in the SUNY Athletic Conference. The Bengals are 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference. Oswego State concludes its season with a Tuesday game at Cortland at 4 p.m.

After the Bengals took an 11-0 lead, Oswego State got on the board with a goal by Michelle MenDell on a free-position shot with 4:55 left in the first half. MenDell assisted on Colleen Ventura's goal in the second half to round out the Oswego State scoring. Laker goalkeeper Shannon O'Brien made five saves.

Buffalo State was paced by Katie Henderson with five goals. Katie Lyons had four goals. Shantel Ackley scored two goals and had four assists, and Molly Seifritz had two assists. Bengal goalkeeper Katie Rivers had eight saves.
