Laker second baseman Brett Shaffer had three hits for Oswego State to lead the offensive attack. Josh Stoetzel was 2-for-3 with an RBI, driving in Zack Owen with Oswego State's only run in the top of the fifth.
Oswego State used seven pitchers in the contest and seven of the 11 runs allowed were earned. Marc Peterson and P.J. Cowie each pitched a scoreless inning as the Lakers tuned up for their SUNY Athletic Conference opener on Saturday against Cortland. That doubleheader begins at noon.
