The Oswego State men's tennis team received a win at No. 6-singles during its first match of the spring schedule, but it would not be enough as host Elmira defeated the Lakers, 8-1, on Thursday afternoon.
Seth Hastings defeated Tim Wagner by the scores of 6-1, 6-2 to record Oswego State's lone point of the match. The Lakers, who are 0-2 overall, will face SUNY Cobleskill next Tuesday in Cobleskill. The Soaring Eagles improved to 2-1 with the win.
