Men's Tennis vs. St. John Fisher (4/16) Gallery
OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's tennis team (2-4) lost a 9-0 decision to St. John Fisher (7-9) Monday afternoon at Romney Tennis Courts. The Lakers put up their best fights at second and third singles, as both matches forced the first set to seven service games.
Tim Van Hine (Fr., Apalacin, NY) played a long match at the No. 2 spot, exchanging the lead of the first set several times with St. John Fisher's Joey Aquino. His net play proved to best Aquino on many occasions, but wasn't enough to pull out the win.
At third singles,
Sam Moores (Fr., Honeoye, NY) went into a first-set tiebreaker with his opponent, Chris Maley, behind the strength of his serve.
Oswego State will face Roberts Wesleyan College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
