OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team (1-3) was competitive at every flight, but were unable to capture any individual wins in a 9-0 loss to Elmira (2-0) on Tuesday afternoon.

All three Lakers doubles teams were defeated, 8-2, to give the Soaring Eagles a 3-0 edge in the match heading into singles play.
All of the singles matches provided exciting points and quality shot-making. Sophomore
Tim Van Hine, Jr. (Apalachin, N.Y.) pushed his second set to a tiebreaker, but a couple of net cords on attempted passing shots put him in an early deficit he could not recover from and he lost, 7-1, in the breaker.
The Lakers play their last match of the fall on Sunday, Oct. 7 when they take the court against Daemen.
