PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's tennis team (3-5) saw its winning streak come to an end when the Lakers fell to St. John Fisher (3-8) at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club Friday afternoon.
Oswego State got out to a rocky start when it dropped all three doubles matches by identical 8-0 scores. The Lakers battled through singles competition, but were unable to get a point on the board.
Sam Carges (Sr., Brockport, N.Y.) bounced back from a first-set loss by forcing a supertiebreaker after winning the second set, 6-3. However, he fell short in the end by the score of 10-5.
Oswego State travels to Oneonta on Monday to face the Red Dragons at 3:30 p.m.
