BOX SCOREClarkson, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's lacrosse team cruised past Clarkson University 14-5 on the road Friday afternoon. With the nonconference win, the Lakers are now 8-3 on the season while the Golden Knights falls to 4-8.
Oswego and Clarkson traded goals early on as
Mackenzie Kjerstad opening the scoring for the Lakers at 27:28 before the Golden Knights tied it less than two minutes later. The Lakers then rattled off seven-straight goals to take control of the contest. Clarkson notched its second goal 11 seconds before halftime, sending Oswego to the locker rooms with an 8-2 advantage.
The Lakers were able to tack on seven more goals in the second half, including three from
Lindsey Eggers.
Eggers also had a goal in the first half to finish with four on the day which was matched by
Erannan Shattuck. Shattuck scored half of the team's first half goals, creating her own opportunities with four unassisted goals.
Kjerstad also collected a multiple-point game, scoring a goal and assisting on another.

Kelsey Henderson,
Kassie Kleine,
Candace Tarana and
Becky Guess completed the tallies for the Lakers, each notching one goal.
Nikki Greco continued to be solid in net for Oswego, stopping eight shots on the day.
The Lakers return to SUNYAC action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when they travel to take on the Bears of Potsdam.
