AMHERST, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team opened its season with a 6-3 loss on the road at Daemen College on Sunday afternoon.
All of Oswego's points came on the singles side as
Alex McCarthy took first singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Following in McCarthy's footsteps was Tyler Bauxbaum in the fifth slot, earning a two-set win, 6-1, 6-2.
Jon Matros picked of the Lakers final point with a hard-fought victory at sixth singles. Matros dropped his first set 6-3 before rebounding to closing out the match with a 7-5 and 13-11 win.
