ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team fell to St. John Fisher College Thursday evening on the road. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 1-2 in the spring season and 3-4 on the year. St. John Fisher improves to 3-5 overall.
Oswego started the match off earning a point at third doubles as Tim Van Hine and
Spencer Thorn combined to defeat their Cardinal opponent 8-1.
Thorn took his momentum from doubles and used it to pick up a win at fourth singles (7-5, 6-2).
Sam Moores earned Oswego's final defeating his opponent in a tie breaker (1-6, 6-3, 10-3) at fifth singles.
Ryan Korn played a close match at second singles eventually losing in a tie breaker 7-5.
Men's tennis will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Alfred University.
