OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team fell 5-4 to Hartwick College Sunday afternoon at the Romney Outdoor Tennis Courts. With the loss, the team drops to 5-6 on the year. Hartwick earns its first win of the season, improving to 1-4.

Jon Matros earned the Lakers first point of the match, dominating third doubles 8-3. First and second doubles both played tight matches before both fell 8-6.
In singles play, Oswego was able to earn its other four points.
Alex McCarthy picked up a win at first singles 6-2, 6-1.
Justin D'Antonio dominated his opponent at sixth singles as well, notching a 6-0, 6-2 victory. The final Laker point came from a
Spencer Thorn 6-4, 6-0 win at third singles.
Ryan Korn almost clinched the winning point a second singles, as he drove the match to three sets, but eventually lost 0-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-6.
Men's tennis returns to the courts at 4 p.m. on Monday as the team heads to Alfred University to take on the Saxons.
