Baseball

Multiple Spring Sports Prepare for Senior Days

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State athletic department prepares for another thrilling weekend, as seven teams are set to play.

Oswego's baseball program will get things underway with it set to host conference-foe Fredonia in a three-game series beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday at Laker Baseball Field. The Lakers (20-6) will then turn around and celebrate Senior Day in playing a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Softball also features SUNYAC matchups this weekend, starting with a road doubleheader against Cortland at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday.

Following Friday's events, the Lakers head back home to rest up for the team's Senior Day doubleheader against Oneonta.  Games begin at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at Laker Softball Field.

Men's and women's track and field teams will return to action this weekend, with both squads traveling to Cortland to participate in the two-day Cortland Classic. Competition will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and then 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Men's lacrosse (6-5) hits the field this weekend in search of a conference win against the rival Plattsburgh Cardinals at 1 p.m. on Saturday. With its recent 7-2 victory over SUNY Canton, Oswego looks to continue great play into the weekend's home game at South Athletic Field.

Women's lacrosse follows suit with a conference match of its own, but will travel to Brockport for its 1 p.m. bout.

Finally, men's golf is set to return to the fairways following a tournament win at the Keuka Spring Invitational to compete in the two-day LeMoyne "Mike Bello" Invitational beginning at 12 p.m. on Sunday in Syracuse.
