OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State athletics department prepares for another electrifying weekend, as three teams are set to begin May with playoff competition.  

The men and women's outdoor track and field programs return to the track this weekend to participate in the two-day SUNYAC Championships at Brockport. Events begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The second-seeded baseball team hits the road to compete in the SUNYAC Championship at top-seeded Cortland's Wallace Field, drawing No. 3 Brockport as its first foe at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers enter the double-elimination tournament ranked second in the New York regional rankings, with a 24-9 overall record and a 14-4 record against conference opponents. Oswego trails only the tournament-host Red Dragons, who are not only the region's top team, but the nation's No. 1 ranked squad as well. 

WTOP-10, Oswego's student television station, will provide live video coverage for every single contest of the SUNYAC Baseball Championship.

If fans are able to make the trip to Cortland, a one-day ticket for the tournament costs $6 for adults and $3 for ages 5-12. There are also weekend passes for entrance into every game throughout the weekend. For ages 5-12, a weekend pass costs $5 while an adult pass is $10. Tickets can be purchased at the venue.
