RESULTS
OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's swimming and diving team made it three-straight victories with a 166-103 win over Alfred State College on Saturday in Laker Pool. Oswego's triumph moves them over .500 on the year with a 3-2 record.
Out of 16 events in the meet, the Lakers were able to capture first in all but three. In the third event of the day – the 1000-yard freestyle – reigning Oswego State Student-Athlete of the Week
Stephanie Noga earned the first individual crown of the day. The junior touched the wall in 11:53.79, winning by nearly 12 seconds. Freshman
Logan Turner was next in the winner's circle, clocking a 2:03.43 to nab the 200-yard free.
Natalie Brophy,
Kelsey Oliverio and
Jalen Buckhout came in 1-2-3 in the 100-yard backstroke, outracing their three Pioneer counterparts. Individual titles kept coming with
Riley Synan claiming the 200-yard fly (2:17.02) and
Aran Kilcoyne grabbing the 50-yard free (26.88). Kilcoyne was not through, however, continuing to win free events, this time of the 100-yard variety (58.82).
Kayla Merrill got in on the victory action after securing runner-up finishes twice earlier in the day. Her win came in the 200-yard backstroke, five seconds faster than the next closest competitor. Turner circled back to collect another win on Saturday, this time in the 500-yard free (5:43.90). Oliverio followed up her second place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a triumph in the 100-yard fly (1:05.41). The last individual swimming event went to
Emily Ross, winning the 400-yard IM by more than 10 seconds (5:04.45).
On the diving boards, Megan Maquet placed first in the 3-meter event, scoring 191.75 points. The relay team bookended the day, opening with a win in the 200-yard medley before capping the day in the 200-yard free. Buckhout,

Laura Gostomski and Brittney Cole made up the four legs of the day's first event, registering 1:59.28 for the victory. The final event of the day featured Brophy, Oliverio, Turner and Kilcoyne combining to record 1:50.30 on the clock for a win in the 200-yard free.
Oswego will return to the water at 1 p.m. on Saturday when it travels to Brockport to take on the Golden Eagles.
