AMHERST, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis suffered its first loss of the 2017-18 campaign 9-0 on Sunday afternoon at Daemen College. With the defeat, Oswego drops to 1-1 on the year while Daemen slides to 2-1 overall.
In single's action,
Chris Gayvert was able to take two games in the second set but could not force a decisive set.
Justin Scuderi,
Jimmy Terzian,
Brian Emigholz and
Dillon McDonald all won one game in third through sixth singles, respectively.
On the doubles side, Gayvert and Emighold was the only pairing that was able to take a game, winning two at second doubles before falling 8-2.
The Lakers will now be off until its traditional season starts in the spring. Oswego will return to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 3.
