UTICA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team downed the Utica College Pioneers, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon. The Laker victory was powered by a sweep of all three doubles matchups.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Claiming first doubles for Oswego, Chris Gayvert and Daniel Maslowski defeated their counterparts 8-3.
• Meanwhile, the pairing of Brian Emigholz and Seth Stopler claimed a win in the second match with a narrow margin, 8-6.
• Blanking the Pioneers at third doubles was the duo of Luis Liriano and Anthony Salerno (8-0).
• Gayvert was again victorious, this time in singles, waltzing away with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win. Doubles partner Maslowski also won his fourth singles battle (6-3, 6-0).
• Emigholz owned the Lakers last singles win off the day, claiming his fifth singles bout 6-2, 7-5.
• Salerno dropped a close second-slotted singles match that was forced into a third set (6-1, 5-7, 5-7).
