HOW IT HAPPENED
- Yensan, a 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field qualifier, hit a jump of 5.32 meters (17' 5.5") in the women's long jump to finish second in a field of 31 athletes.
- In terms of national rankings, Yensan's jump of 5.50 meters back in December still sits as the seventh-best mark of the early indoor season.
- Sorbello cleared a height of 1.89 meters (6'2") in the high jump in placing third out of 22 jumpers and his mark qualifies him for the All-Atlantic Regiona Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships from March 6-7 in Rochester.
- Mitchell ran a 23.34-second 200-meter dash to take third in a 32-runner field, also qualifying for the AARTFC Championships.
- Junior Amare Greer had a solid meet with a pair of top-8 finishes. Greer was seventh in the 200-meter dash in 24.01 and eighth in the 60-meter dash in 7.39 seconds.
- Oswego had a pair of top-10's in the women's high jump with Catarina Burke placing fifth (1.51 meters) and Yensan in ninth (1.46 meters).
- Freshman Ashleigh Lacy was impressive in her debut with a fourth in the 200-meter dash in 28.21 seconds.
- In women's shot put action, sophomore Lindsay Fluman took seventh with a throw of 10.80 meters.

The Lakers head over to Brockport next Saturday for the Brockport Invitational.
