Brockport, NY –The Lakers were in action Saturday morning at the SUNYAC Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by SUNY Brockport for the second day in a row.

Highlights
The Lakers delivered another strong showing on the track, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from
Hannah Reichard in the women's mile. Reichard placed third overall in 5:01.75, eclipsing the Oswego program record she had set just a week prior. Teammate
Elena Gaffney added to the Lakers' success in the event with a fifth-place finish, crossing the line in 5:19.97. Reichard later returned to the track to claim fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.48, capping an impressive day.
On the men's side,
Jeffery Simmons turned in a standout performance in the 800 meters, placing third overall in 1:57.42 to secure a regional qualifying mark.
Distance runners continued to add valuable points for Oswego.
Kyra Pellegrino placed seventh in the women's 3,000 meters with a time of 10:41.66, while Nehemiah Daniel matched that finish on the men's side, taking seventh in 9:02.09.
The 4x400-meter relay teams also delivered competitive results. The women's quartet of
Daiya Kowalski,
Sabrina Schmitt,
Sophia Shatynski, and Reichard combined for a sixth-place finish in 4:19.48. The men's team of Tom Mahunik,
Cory Morton,
Soren Wolford, and Simmons followed with a fourth-place effort, stopping the clock at 3:32.23.
In the field events,
Kaleigh Durso earned a sixth-place finish in the women's high jump, clearing 1.47 meters to round out the Lakers' performance.
What's Next
The Lakers will now prepare for regionals set to take place on Friday March 6
th and Saturday March 7
th.
