ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's and women's track & field teams won five individual events and the men's 4x400-meter relay at the RIT Midseason Meet that featured athletes from Canisius, Niagara, St. Bonaventure, LeMoyne, Brockport, Buffalo State, Houghton, St. John Fisher, Nazareth, Alfred and Alfred State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Shaniece Gregory qualified for Regionals in the 400-meter dash with a first-place finish and time of 1:00.63.
- Gregory returned to the track for a second-place finish in the 200-meters and a Regional-qualifying time of 26.53 seconds.
- High jumper Catarina Burke continued her winning ways with a leap of 1.61 meters to claim the meet title in the event.
- In the long jump, Sarah Yensan flew 5.69 meters (18'8") for first and Kayla Guerre was fourth at 5.02 meters.
- Newcomer Ashleigh Lacy finished in fourth in the 200-meters (26.83) and ninth in the 60-meter dash in 8.36 seconds.
- For the men, Kevin Mitchell won the 400-meter dash in 51.57 seconds with junior Max Cameron in the top-10 at 53.99 seconds.
- Sprinter Amare Greer was the top finisher in the 200-meter dash in 23.34 seconds, the eighth-best time in Oswego men's indoor track history.
- Greer then earned sixth in the men's 60-meter dash with the tenth-fastest time in Lakers' history at 7.33 seconds.
- Kyle Sorbello took second in the high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters and teammate Keaghan Savior was third at 1.80 meters.
- In the pole vault pit, sophomore Nathan Jennings earned a runner-up finish with a clearance of 4.10 meters.
- Sophomore Michael Saavedra was ninth in the shot put with a throw of 12.71 meters, with teammate Brandon Fallat just outside the top-10 at 12.14 meters.
- Freshman Collin Gilligan ran a 9.69-second 60-meter hurdle time to place in the top-10.
- Cameron, Chris Dorney, Kevin Howard and Mitchell finished the meet with the top time in the men's 4x400 relay at 3:35.64.

The Lakers have one more tune-up meet at Nazareth College next Friday at 4 p.m. prior to the SUNYAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
