ABCA Release

OSWEGO, N.Y. - On Friday, the 2021 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America Teams were released and senior Kyle Lauria was named a member of the Third Team.  Earlier this week, the Point Pleasant (N.J.) native was selected to the D3Baseball.com Fourth Team All-America squad.

The third baseman has certainly brought home the hardware this year with two All-American nods, a First Team All-SUNYAC award and recognition on the 2021 SUNYAC Championship All-Tournament Team.  On April 12, he was the SUNYAC Baseball Athlete of the Week and a day later was tabbed as the Division III Honorable Mention Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Lauria led the entire SUNYAC in RBI with 44 and was second in steals (22), triples (4) and runs scored (42).  He joins alumnus Eric Hamilton '17 in appearing on both the ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-America Teams, with Hamilton achieving the feat in both 2016 and 2017.  

The Oswego State baseball team finished the year with a 25-7 record, top ranking in the New York Region, and their sixth-consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship Tournament.
