ALFRED, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's tennis team used strong doubles play to win their first match of the season by way of a 5-4 score on the road at Alfred.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers swept all three doubles matches to go out to a commanding 3-0 lead in the match.
• Oswego's top doubles team of Anthony Salerno and Austin Davis won with an 8-4 score.
• At Second Doubles, freshmen Ethan Bannochie and Justin Schwab ran away with an 8-1 victory.
• Justin Piotrowski and Raymond Paull cruised to an 8-2 win in the final doubles match.
• In singles action, Schwab blanked his opponent, 10-0, at Third Singles and Piotrowski won a 10-7 decision for the win.
• Bannochie fell by an 8-10 score at Fourth Singles.
