UTICA, N.Y. – The Oswego State Men's Lacrosse defeated the SUNY Poly Wildcats this afternoon by a score of 14-4. Weston Gray added four points in the contest including three goals and an assist. Gavin Elston also added three goals and an assist to aid his team to victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After an opening faceoff win by Logan Prescott, Cameron Tallman got the ball back to Prescott for the opening goal just ten seconds in. 
• Just after the second faceoff of the contest, SUNY Poly took a play out of Oswego's book, scoring just twenty second after the draw. 
• In the next minutes of the first quarter Oswego dominated the offensive zone, shelling the Wildcats goalkeeper with shots. 
• At the 10:57 mark of the first quarter, Weston Gray scored the Lakers second goal. 
• Continuing the offensive zone pressure, Gray scored his second goal of the game, assisted by Gavin Elston. 
• Elston added one of his own with 49 seconds remaining in the first quarter, giving the Lakers the two-goal lead. 
• The Green and Gold were not done as Jack Delany scored with just 17 seconds remaining in the opening quarter. 
• The second quarter continued to be strong for the Lakers, adding another two goals to Poly's one. 
• Scoring was Max Brodman, assisted by Cameron Tallman and Tallman added a tally of his own, assisted by Corey O'Connor.

• Oswego did not let off the gas as they scored another five goals in the third quarter and only allowed one for the Wildcats.
• Scoring was Elston (2), Gray (1), Brodman (1), and O'Connor (1). 
• In the final quarter Oswego scored twice, the first goal of the quarter for the Lakers went to Devon Gerhardt and was assisted by Liam Sexton. Oswego's final goal was scored by Sam Meltser and assisted by Gerhardt.
