Oswego State Athletics has announced the Oswego Health Student Athletes of the Month for December. The selected athletes are
Jeremiah Sparks from Men's Basketball and
Lexi Levy from Women's Ice Hockey.
Jeremiah Sparks continued his strong start to the 2023-24 season during the month of December, leading the Lakers against some of their most challenging opponents thus far. In four December games, Sparks averaged 20.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 5.5 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game. Sparks elevated his performance in the Lakers two games in Las Vegas vs. #8 Case Western Reserve and #21 Pomona-Pitzer where he was named to the D3Hoops.com Classic All-Tournament Team.
Lexi Levy recorded strong performances in goal for both of the Lakers' December games including a 3-1 win over Potsdam and a narrow 2-1 loss to #3 Amherst. Levy made 23 saves in the Lakers win over Potsdam and 43 saves in their visit to Amherst giving her a statline for the month of December of 1-1-0, 1.50 Goals Against Average, and a .957 Save Percentage.
