OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego Women's Lacrosse hosted their season opener against the Morrisville Mustangs on Friday afternoon in Oswego, NY. This one was all Lakers taking down the Mustangs by a score of 21-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Oswego struck first in this match-up when Alexis Hill scored in a free position less than five minutes into the game. That goal was followed by Sela Wiley with her first goal of the season at the ten-minute mark. After a long first quarter the Lakers found themselves up by a score of 8-4 with three of those goals coming from Wiley.
Oswego piled on seven more goals in the second quarter and four of them came from junior mid fielder Julia Quirk. The Lakers had a commanding 15-4 lead at the half.
The second half was more of the same for Oswego and they only allowed 5 total goals from the Mustangs. Julia Quirk led the scorers for Oswego with 6 goals, followed by Sela Wiley and Madison Davis with 3. Bella Lembo, Cassidy Croce, and Katie Fierro with 2. Also, Sadie Zemanick, Alexis Hill, and Noelle Smith scored their first goals of the season.

The Lakers will hit the road to Clarkson on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup at 4:00 PM.
