OSWEGO, NY- The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams hosted the Monroe Community College Tribunes this afternoon. They honored four graduating seniors,
Zachary Brown,
Matthew Dambra,
Ashton Laird, and
Vincent Mullen. Oswego took first place in 19 of 26 events which contributed to each team's win over Monroe.

HOW IT HAPPENED
To start the day, both Oswego teams took the 200 Medley Relay. For the men, Dambra, NicholasMahan,
Van Wilton, and Mullen finished with a time of 1:44.37. On the women's side,
Fion Hon,
Emily Lotito,
Abigail Hinman, and
Alexia Lemus took the event at 2:00.32.
Five Lakers were double individual event winners in their respective events.
Brown took the 50 Yard Free in 22.90 and the 100 Breaststroke in 58.96.
Jayna Laferriere claimed the 50 and 100 Yard Freestyles in 25.70 and 55.61.
Taking the 100 and 200 Yard Freestyles was
Ryan Murphy with times of 51.00 and 1:54.43.
Finishing first in the 400 Yard Individual Medley (4:58.30) and the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:38.14) was
Isabelle Dague.
Serena Bardin swept the Women's One and Three Meter Diving with scores of 191.00 and 202.55.
Six Lakers took home one individual win for the day.
Chloe Brown finished in 2:12.17 in the 200-yard Freestyle.
Claiming the 100 Yard Butterfly was Hinman in 1:08.13.
In the 100 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.81, Dambra took first. Hon took the backstroke win for the women in 1:08.30.
Taking the 500 Yard Freestyle was
Ryan Liedka in 5:25.18.
Lotito finished first in the 100 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.01.
Ending the meet, both teams took the top spot in the 200-yard Freestyle Relays. The men's team of Murphy, Mullen,
Duncan Smith, and Jake Sarnowski finished with a time of 1:32.38. The women's
quartet consisted of
McKenna Briggs, Dague, Laferriere, and Lemus who finished in 1:46.79.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego State Swimming and Diving will now prepare for the SUNYAC Championship meet which follows a four-day format and runs from February 21-24 at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center in
Buffalo, New York. The meet will run preliminary swims in the morning and finals at night.
