OSWEGO, NY – Head Coach
Mike Howard is set to return for his 35
th season as head coach of the SUNY Oswego men's wrestling team. The Lakers are coming off a season in which two wrestlers qualified for the NCAA Championships with their eyes set on a return this year.
The Lakers will jump start their season at the Ithaca College Invitational on November 1
st and 2
nd in Ithaca, NY. They will quickly follow that up by hosting an old conference foe in SUNY Brockport on November 9
th in the Max Ziel Gymnasium in Laker Hall.
On Saturday November 23
rd, Oswego will head to the New York State Collegiate Open Championships in Oneonta, NY, followed by the RIT Invitational on December 7
th in Rochester, NY. The road trip will continue December 15
th at the Lycoming College Dual in Williamsport, PA.
When the Lakers return in 2025, they will start things off at Ithaca College in a tri match with Castleton on January 4
th, followed the Lycoming Challenge Duals on January 10
th and 11
th. Before returning home, Oswego will head to the SUNYAC Championships in Cortland, NY on January 18
th.
The SUNY Oswego Lakers will welcome Kings College to Max Ziel Gymnasium on Wednesday January 29
th for their second home match of the season. The following weekend they will head to The College of New Jersey for a quad match on February 1
st. Oswego will finish out the year with an away match at Oneonta on Wednesday, February 5th before returning home to face SUNY Cortland on Saturday, February 8th. The Lakers will then set their sights on the NCAA Mideast Regional the weekend of March 1-2.
