Oswego, N.Y. — On Sunday November 2nd the Lakers spread out across the city of Oswego for their annual Leaf Raking initiative to give back to the community that supports them all year long.

The event coincides with an annual statewide community service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at many SUNY Athletic Conference institutions. Dressed in their school colors, the athletes rolled up their sleeves and worked together on a beautiful Sunday to make a difference in their community.

The Lakers cleaned combined 59 yards throughout the day in what is their largest community service project each year.

"It was a great day to give back to the Oswego community", said Merlin assistant athletic director for student-athlete success and organizer of the project in 2025, "This initiative is a staple for our department and it's always amazing to see so many student-athletes continue to demonstrate great pride in this fun event. We truly appreciate everyone involved."
