OSWEGO, NY - SUNY Oswego Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce the 2026 induction class of the New York Beta Beta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma. This is SUNY Oswego's third class of student-athletes joining the National College Athletes Honors Society. 

Chi Alpha Sigma is the first, and only, national scholar-athlete society to honor collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competitions. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity intercollegiate level, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full time semester, have been at SUNY Oswego for at least two semesters, maintain a cumulative gpa of 3.50, and demonstrate good moral character through endorsement of their coaches and staff. Based on this criteria, 33 student athletes were inducted into the honors society.

In addition, Helen VanDamme from women's ice hockey was selected to serve as the SUNY Oswego's second Chi Alpha Sigma's Chapter President.

The induction ceremony took place on Monday evening, in the Sheldon Hall Ballroom.
