OSWEGO, NY – The SUNYAC has announced their weekly awards. Oswego's Giavanna White-Principio named the Athlete of the Week for women's basketball!

It was another dominant week for White-Principio in two SUNYAC wins for the Lakers. First, at Fredonia she scored a game high 24 points on 76.9% shooting. She also grabbed 14 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season. Against the blue devils she added a steal and a block. Then on Saturday at Buffalo State, Giavanna scored 10 points while shooting 62.5% from the field and grabbed 12 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season. Not to mention she recorded two steals as well. She stands tall at the top of the SUNYAC in rebounds per game (11.3) as well as shooting percentage (49.3) and blocks per game (2.1).

Giavanna White-Principio is also the Student-Athlete of the Month for January 2025.

White-Principio is in her junior season with the Lakers and is from Waterloo, NY.

Women's basketball will return to home this Friday February 14^th to take on Plattsburgh at 5:30 PM.
