Lakers Baseball Earns 5 Athletes on All-Region III Teams

OSWEGO, NY - The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.

The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America teams will be announced the evening of Thursday, May 29 immediately following the Opening Ceremony at the 2025 NCAA Div. III World Series in Eastlake, Ohio. Only First Team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors.

The Lakers earned 5 players on All-Region III Teams.

Jacob Sanders was named first team all-region III and first team all-conference after delivering a dominant season on the mound. In 12 appearances, Sanders posted an impressive 7-1 record and recorded a career-best 2.08 ERA. Over 73.2 innings pitched, he struck out 76 batters while issuing just 17 walks, showcasing exceptional control and command. His ability to consistently shut down opposing lineups made him one of the most reliable and effective pitchers in the conference. This is the second time Jacob has been recognized by the conference.

Dylan Rosenberg, a sophomore from Roslyn Heights, NY, earned second team all-region III and first team all-conference honors after an exceptional season at shortstop. Rosenberg was a consistent threat at the plate, racking up 58 hits, including 10 doubles, a triple, and 2 home runs, while driving in 33 runs and scoring 36 times. Dylan hit for an average of .352, slugging for .461 and an OBP of .420. His speed and aggressiveness on the bases were evident with 21 stolen bases, and he showed great patience at the plate, drawing 19 walks. Defensively, Rosenberg anchored the infield with 46 putouts and 89 assists, showcasing his range and reliability.

Daniel Winchester, a sophomore from New City, NY, was named second team all-region III and first team all-conference after a standout season at third base. Winchester led the team with 65 hits, including 10 doubles, a triple, and 4 home runs, while driving in 35 runs and scoring 40 times. Winchester hit for an average of .363 with .497 SLG and .435 OBP. A constant threat on the base paths, he swiped an impressive 29 bases and showed strong discipline with 22 walks. Defensively, he was a cornerstone at the hot corner, recording 42 putouts and 83 assists, displaying both range and a strong arm.

Tishawn Featherstone, a senior from Port Jervis, NY, was named third team all-region III and first team all-conference for his outstanding performance as a first baseman this season. Featherstone was a force at the plate, collecting 49 hits, including 9 doubles and 6 home runs, while driving in 39 runs and scoring 33 times. Featherstone hit for an average of .345 with .535 SLG and .461 OBP. He showcased his versatility with 11 stolen bases and demonstrated strong plate discipline, drawing 21 walks. Defensively, he was a reliable presence at first base, recording 317 putouts.

Trey McGowan, a junior from Blue Point, NY, was named third team all-region III and second team all-conference following a strong season at second base. McGowan posted an impressive .429 batting average, collecting 51 hits, including 9 doubles, while driving in 21 runs and scoring 39 times. Trey's OBP was .553 and a slugging percentage of .504. He was a constant presence on the base paths with 17 stolen bases and demonstrated excellent plate discipline with 29 walks. Defensively, McGowan was steady in the middle infield, recording 47 putouts and 54 assists.
