Seven Men's Lacrosse Athletes named to SUNYAC All Conference First and Second Team

OSWEGO, NY – The SUNYAC has announced their all-conference teams for the 2025 men's lacrosse season. Seven Lakers earned a spot on the first and second team.

Corey O'Connor earned First Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse after an outstanding season marked by impressive all-around performance. He led the Lakers with 41 goals and added 7 assists, totaling 48 points. Beyond his contributions on the scoreboard, O'Connor also demonstrated his versatility and work ethic on both ends of the field, collecting 12 ground balls and recording 8 caused tunrovers. O'Connor was named offensive athlete of the week earlier this year by the conference as well. This is Corey's second time being recognized by the conference; last season he was named second team all-conference. O'Connor is in his senior season and came to Oswego from Watertown, NY.

Emmet Starowizc earned First Team All-Conference recognition for men's lacrosse after an exceptional season with all-around contributions. As a key offensive facilitator, he tallied 14 goals and led the team with 22 assists, finishing the season with 36 points. Starowizc also contributed defensively and in transition, collecting 14 ground balls and forcing 2 turnovers. Emmet is in his sophomore season with the Lakers, and this is his first time earning an all-conference selection. He comes to Oswego from Syracuse, NY.

Seamus Hand earned First Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse with a stellar season in goal. He recorded 163 saves and posted a strong .560 save percentage, regularly coming up with clutch stops to keep his team competitive. Hand's efforts led to 9 wins on the season, and his presence between the pipes provided a reliable last line of defense. In addition to his shot-stopping ability, he was active in clearing and transition play, collecting 19 ground balls. In 2024, Hand was also named 1st team all-conference by the SUNYAC. Seamus is in his junior season with Oswego and comes to the Lakers from Penfield, NY.

Garrett Elston earned Second Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse after a strong and balanced season on both ends of the field. He was a consistent offensive threat, scoring 24 goals and adding 13 assists for a total of 37 points, making him one of the team's top contributors. Elston also made his presence felt in the midfield, collecting 23 ground balls and causing 5 turnovers, showing his effectiveness in transition and on defense. As a sophomore, this is the first time in his career he has earned all-conference recognition. Elston comes to Oswego from Horseheads, NY.

Jackson Cummings earned Second Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse with a standout season as a key defender. Cummings collected 32 ground balls and led the defensive unit with 16 caused turnovers, consistently disrupting opposing offenses and creating transition opportunities. While his primary role was defense, he also contributed offensively with 1 goal and 3 assists, highlighting his ability to push the pace and support the attack when needed. In 2024, Cummings was named 1st team all-conference as a defender. Jackson is a senior with the Lakers and is from Clarence, NY.

Rob Nelson earned Second Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse after a steady and reliable season as a starting defender. A cornerstone of the defensive unit, Nelson started all 14 games and brought consistency and composure to the back line. He recorded 24 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers, contributing to his team's overall defensive success with strong positioning, communication, and physical play. As a senior, this is the first time in Nelson's career that he has earned an all-conference award and comes to the Lakers from Warwick, NY.

Logan Prescott earned Second Team All-Conference honors for men's lacrosse with a dominant season as a faceoff specialist. He posted an impressive .661 faceoff win percentage, going 207-for-313 at the X, consistently giving his team a crucial possession advantage. Prescott's quick hands, technique, and ability to battle for ground balls played a vital role in controlling the tempo of games. Prescott also scored 2 goals and added two assists from the faceoff position. This was Logan's senior season with the Lakers, and he came to Oswego from Lancaster, NY.
