Oswego State Athletics

Connor Lunduski of the men’s soccer team was named Oswego State Male Athlete of the Week for the weekend ending Sept. 3.

Lunduski, a senior, scored seven points over the weekend, aiding the Lakers to a 2-0 start to their season while outscoring their opponents 11-1.

On Friday, the Baldwinsville, N.Y. native tallied an assist and three shots on goal in Oswego’s 5-0 win over Houghton College.

During Sunday’s game versus SUNY Purchase, Lunduski exploded for two goals and two assists, totaling six points as the Lakers won 7-1. He did all of his damage while only playing in 55 minutes. Lunduski tied the game in the first half after converting on a penalty shot that beat the goalie to the left post in the 20th minute. His two assists were both beautiful displays of accuracy and touch, one from outside the box to Karebo Wilson and one where he streaked down the length of the field before dishing to Hassan Mussa.  He then later scored on a header to expand the score to 6-1.
